In anticipation of a contract award, we are looking for a Contract Specialist II to support the full lifecycle of federal contracting activities, ensuring compliant, timely, and effective acquisition outcomes in support of mission-critical programs. The role is ideal for a mid-level contracting professional who can operate independently while collaborating across program, legal, and financial stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:
- Execute cradle-to-grave contracting activities, including pre-award, award, and post-award administration
- Develop acquisition strategies, solicitation packages, and evaluation criteria
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitation documents in accordance with FAR and agency regulations
- Conduct proposal evaluations and support source selection processes
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and modifications with vendors
- Administer contracts, including modifications, option exercises, and closeout activities
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, policies, and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and records in contract writing systems such as ICE
- Collaborate with program managers, legal counsel, and finance teams to support procurement objectives
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on acquisition processes and best practices
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cradle-to-grave federal contracting
- Current or prior FAC-C certification or civilian equivalent
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and agency supplements
- Experience supporting federal acquisition lifecycle activities independently
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Haves:
- Experience using Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) or similar contract writing systems
- Experience supporting a federal civilian or homeland security agency
- Familiarity with simplified acquisition procedures and multiple contract types
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to contribute to process improvements and acquisition efficiencies
