Description

Within the role of Acquisition Quality Analyst, you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development. You will perform critical acquisition management quality functions that will significantly contribute to program success.

Hiring Timeframe: Immediate
 
Work Location:  This position is a hybrid role in Crystal City, VA (3 days/week on site). Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA

Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success
  • Participates as a member of and/or supports the overall PMO
  • Apply knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of program management and systems acquisition to inform the planning, organization, and quality of acquisitions in support of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of aircraft systems, subsystems, and equipment
  • Track and report program/project status to include cost, schedule, and performance
  • Perform internal audit planning preparation, performance, and analysis
 
Required Qualifications:
 
  • Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Education Requirement:
    • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
      • OR Associates Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
  • Work Experience Requirements: 
    • At least six (6) years of experience in program management, technical/quality or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
    • At least four (4) years out of six (6) of recent work experience related to analysis, planning, or quality
    • At least two (2) years supporting, indirectly or directly, a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).  This is a nonwaiverable requirement
  • Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR), Work Requests, Requisitions, Data Item Descriptions (DID) Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and DD254 is required
  • Familiarity with the DoD 5000 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) series of policy and guidance, Federal and DoD acquisition regulations and the Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience planning, preparing, performing quality audits
  • Experience identifying corrective actions based on audit results and tracking those actions to completion
  • Identifying audit findings for potential continuous improvement projects
  • Drafting and reporting audit results to the Enterprise Quality management leadership
  • Act as the QMS coach and develop program teams in quality management
  • Knowledgeable of AS9100D QMS requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense organizations
  • Experience developing and presenting papers, informational briefs, and formal presentations to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with DoD reporting tools and major reports
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills


Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Familiarity DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03 (International Agreements), and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
  • 5th Generation Fighter acquisition management experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of acquisition challenges associated with a Contractor Supported Weapon System (CSWS)

Salary Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, training, certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational needs.
